Welcome to 2019…A Newfound Presence.

My last blog was posted on January 12, 2017.

I was starting to rethink my future, as my business partner (and daughter) was leaving Real-Time Perspectives to forge her own path forward.  Life got busy and complex. I didn’t even notice how quickly time was passing without sharing any updates on the work I was doing.

I suspect many of you also know that a very different set of circumstances continued to put my attention towards other, more basic needs – the stark reality of a cancer diagnosis in the fall of 2018.

With intricately complex medical interventions, and a subsequent grueling recovery (including 4 surgeries in a 6-month period), it left me, and those who care about me, shaken to the core. Needless to say, writing a blog simply wasn’t top of mind.

The start of 2019 is a time to now celebrate, fully, my being back.

I am cancer-free and subsequently personally free, once again, to pursue my passion.  On one level, I am the same person, simply re-focused on being fully present with my clients in ways that enable them to discover their own answers to what’s getting in their way, relative to work and career aspirations.

On another level, I am a different person.  I have walked a path of suffering, surrender, and strength that I couldn’t possibly have imagined before all of this happened.  As a result, I find I am bringing a profound sense of “presence” to my client interactions in ways that touch me, and seem to be touching them, deeply. My intention is to share many of the gifts associated with this newfound presence, to you, in future blogs.

Starting this month, checkout the updates to my web site: www.realtimeperspectives.com.  Be on the lookout for a wide range of blog topics from us in your Facebook or LinkedIn feed, a smattering of leadership lessons, inspirational thoughts for your day, and upcoming events that may be of interest to you or someone you know.

So, with a new hair style and a renewed sense of purpose, I wish you and those you cherish a joyful and purposeful 2019.  I have every intention of being right there with you!

Hi Barbara–I know that it has been too many years, without any contact. I am so sorry to hear of your recent struggles and pain. How scary. I am hoping this new secular year will bring you renewed strength and only good health. You, and your family, are in my warmest and most positive thoughts and prayers. I have been a volunteer for the past 10 years with children with cancer, It is never easy, always devastating. And, always a fight. You look amazing. Renewed.

Proud of your inveterate spirit, overcoming such adversity and facing fear head on when it may have been easier to cave. Love the hairstyle it confirms your fearlessness.
